Early Birds

The cold weather is here, but we still have some activities planned for this month:
Field trip to look for Snowy Owls: On Monday 8th January at 1.00pm, weather permitting, we will head out to an area just north of Strathroy, that is well-known for sightings of Snowy Owls, as well as Snow Buntings, Lapland Longspurs and Horned Larks. Please contact Pauline for details of carpooling and meeting place.
Nature in the City series is back again, a series of free lectures at Wolf Performance Hall at the London Public Library Central branch. (2 hours free validated parking is available in Citi Plaza during Library hours). We will be carpooling to facilitate parking, please contact Pauline if you interested in coming out with us.
The January lectures are as follows:
- Tuesday January 16, 7 – 8.30pm “Bats are Beings”
- Tuesday January 23, 7 – 8.30pm “Building Bird Friendly Communities”
- Tuesday January 30, 7 – 8.30pm “Some Bugs Suck! Why the insects in your garden may have a drinking problem!”
