Day Tripping

On Thursday, June 15, our day-tripping group is traveling to the Strathroy area. We are very fortunate to have the opportunity for a guided tour of the MacCuddy Botanical Gardens. Sprawling over 6 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, The MacCuddy Botanic Garden is known across North America for its array of unique and endangered plant species and commitment to horticulture excellence.
Founded by the Cuddy Family, the estate has evolved into one of Ontario’s premier plant collections and is now proudly managed as a “living classroom” by Fanshawe College’s Horticulture Technician program faculty and students. After the tour, there may also be some plants available to purchase.
Lunch will be at The Clock Tower Inn and Bistro. Fresh ingredients are sourced from local suppliers, and gluten-free options are available.
On our way back to London, we will call into some local farms for farmgate sales of Strawberries, Eggs, and Honey, so bring a cool box with you.
